The Engineer
It's a phrase that everyone knows: Beam Me Up Scotty. But Scotty was more than just the transporter whiz. He was the caretaker of the Enterprise – her friend and defender, mechanic and miracle worker. He coaxed her into the unknown, nursed her when she was wounded, and always, ALWAYS came through with a bit of 23rd century engineering magic to save the day. Scotty, as played by James Doohan, came complete with Scottish brogue and gaelic wit. His love of Scotch whiskey was only exceeded by his affection for his "wee bairns" – the ship's engines. As an icon of Trekdom, what collection would be complete without a significant Scotty piece? That's why it's an amazing thrill to own this special movie uniform.
This is Scotty's "Bomber" jacket variant, a unique style worn only by Captain Kirk and Scotty. It is made of suede leather and has a "James Doohan" costume tag. Production made turtlenecks, pants, rank bands and pins and a metal Starfleet badge complete the ensemble.
This jacket has specifically been screen-matched to various scenes in Star Trek III and is shown with a gold turtleneck (left). The photo at right shows the Star Trek IV look – a Doohan-tagged white turtleneck in place of the gold.
